Amid the recent controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent, the show, stand-up comedian Samay Raina has deleted all videos of his show India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel. For the unversed, the controversy started when Ranveer Allahbadia had asked a question to a contestant “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” The show had featured host Samay Raina and guest judges Ranveer Allahbadia, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhija, and Ashish Chanchlani.
Samay Raina, who is currently on his Unfiltered: North America Tour 2025, had took to stage at Seattle’s Moore Theatre over the weekend. Photos from the recent event were dropped on Instagram by India’s Got Latent’s producer and judge, Balraj Ghai. The viral photos had featured Samay as he performed at his show. He even spent quality time with his friends and played chess backstage.

While several celebrities have reacted to the ongoing controversy, comedian and actor Vir Das has been the latest to share his thoughts.
“The audience is always welcome to debate what good comedy is,” Mr Das posted. “A good artist will take their feedback head down, mouth shut, and maybe evolve. Either way, the consequences of your comedy on your career and audience are pretty instant. That’s a natural process.” Das also focused on the instrumental role of traditional media in the ongoing controversy. According to him, “irrelevant” mainstream media outlets were using the controversy to take a dig new digital platforms.
“But we are also watching a bunch of irrelevant mainstream media anchors bordering extinction coming together to take down new media that gets millions more views, longer interviews, and far more impact than their bloated studios and fat salary at 1 per cent of the cost. Whether you like the new media or not is irrelevant,” he wrote.
