Amidst growing conversation around the work-life balance in the film industry. Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan has joined the discussion in support of the ar 8 hours work schedule.
Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan popularly known for his rom-com roles in early 2000s, has broken his silence on the issue of 8-hour work schedule which has been a hot topic in the Bollywood after Deepika Padukone exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s new project Spirit. While Saif Ali Khan didn’t directly address the issue himself, he shared his views on being able to see his family amidst a tight work schedule .
Speaking at the Arab Media Summit, the Hum Tum famed actor, Saif Ali Khan shared his perspective on the matter. “I hate coming home and seeing the kids already asleep. That’s not success. Success is being able to say, ‘No, I need to go home now to catch that half hour with them.’ We get four holidays a year, and when my kids are on break, I don’t work. That time is sacred. I’m at that crazy age where I have to call both my mum and my children. You think it’s just your parents you have to check on, then you realise it’s both,” he said.
Previously during the trailer launch of his upcoming film Maa, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn also spoke up about the hectic work culture of Bollywood. Ajay Devgn in his comment highlighted that most of the filmmakers will not have a problem with this schedule.
