Akshay Kumar’s film continues solid run as it EARNS Rs…; Kamal Haasan’s movie dips further

Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan‘s latest movie Housefull 5 has turned out to be a hit. The movie that released on June 6 managed to register a fantastic first weekend. It is a multi-starrer movie as apart from the three heroes, it also stars Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Fardeen Khan and many more. Within the first three days, Housefull 5 managed to cross the mark of Rs 50 crore. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan‘s movie Thug Life is struggling to mint big. As reported by Sacnilk.com, Housefull 5 had a solid first Sunday at the box office. It continued to good run as it made around Rs 32.5 crore on day 3. It witnessed a slight growth from day 2 as it had made around Rs 31 crore on first Saturday. The day 2 and day 3 were better than day 1. On the opening day, the movie made around Rs 24 crore. Now, the total collection of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan‘s Housefull 5 is approximately Rs 87.5 crore. Now, Housefull 5 will face the litmus test on day 4, i.e., first Monday.
On the other hand, Kamal Haasan‘s movie Thug Life witnessed a dip in numbers on first Sunday. The movie directed by Mani Ratnam released on June 5. On day 4, i.e., first Sunday, Thug Life made around Rs approximately Rs 6.5 crore. As per the report, the Tamil version made around Rs 5.75 crore, the Hindi version made around Rs 0.2 crore and the Telugu version made around Rs 0.55 crore. The total collection of the movie is around Rs 36.9 crore. In four days, the movie could not cross the mark of Rs 50 crore. The film was mired in controversy before the release due to a controversial mark made by Kamal Haasan. The movie did not make it to the theatres in Karnataka.
