Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya-starrer Sky Force released on January 24, 2025. The film – based on Sargodha airbase attack of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965 – had dropped at the right time, days ahead of Republic Day. The stars play air force pilots in the film which also features Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in key roles. Sky Force directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani received positive from critics and audience. Thanks to all the positive reactions and reviews, the movie managed to fly high on its opening day at the box office.
As per the early estimates shared by Sacnilk.com, Sky Force earned Rs 11.25 crore on its opening day. The movie managed to register double digit numbers on its first day and it looks like Sky Force has taken quite a promising start. The evening and night shows saw good occupancy in the theatres. It is being anticipated that Sky Force will have a good first weekend at the box office, and march toward success.
Akshay Kumar plays the role of Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja. Veer Pahariya marks his Bollywood debut with this film. He essays the role of T Krishna Vijaya aka Tabby. With his first film, Veer has managed to leave an impact on the audience. The stars carried out extensive promotions and all the hard work has paid off.
Ahead of the big release, Akshay Kumar penned a note on social media stating that he couldn’t be ‘prouder’.
