Akshay Kumar CONFIRMED in Stree 3, Dinesh Vijan calls him Thanos of Maddock’s Horror-comedy universe
Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films have made the cinelovers happy by announcing their exciting horror-comedy universe slate. We already knew Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Thama were a part of it. But in their slate, new names have been added that will make the franchise even bigger and more thrilling. Their last release was 2024 Stree 2, which received a lot of love. But what amazed everyone was Akshay Kumar’s special appearance in the film. There has been excitement amongst the audience to know what he will do in the universe.

On January 5, during the trailer launch of Sky Force, Akshay Kumar was asked about Maddock’s horror-comedy universe and if he would be a part of the same. The actor answered that Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande would decide the same. Akshay quipped that they are the ones to pump in the money. By confirming his role in Stree 3, the actor said, “Aur Amar Kaushik ko direct karna hai.”
Furthermore, in this entertainment news, News18 contacted Dinesh Vijan regarding Akshay’s role in their universe. The producer answered, “Of course, he’s a part of the universe! He’s our Thanos (laughs).” Meanwhile, Akshay’s cameo in Stree 2 was not just a random filler. His character plays a crucial role in helping our protagonists find more information about Sarkata.
In the end credit scene, we get to see more of him, hinting that he is the next big villain in the Stree universe. But fans will have to wait longer to see him in the movie, as Stree 3 will hit theatres in 2027. On the other hand, Sky Force, helmed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, is also produced by Dinesh and Jyoti. Also starring Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan, and Veer Pahariya, it will hit theatres on January 24, 2025.
