Aishwarya Rai Bachchan finally reacts to Taal re-releasing in theatres [Watch]
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might be absent from Bollywood movies for quite some time, but the past few days have been quite blissful for her fans. The actress’ 1999 movie Taal has released in theatres again on September 27, 2024. Yes, amidst the number of re-releases happening in theatres for quite some time, the romantic drama also found its way on the big screen again. Directed by Subhash Ghai, the film also stars Anil Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna in the lead role.
As the film completed 25 years of its release, director Subhash Ghai earlier shared his excitement on the movie’s re-release. The filmmaker posted on Instagram, “MY WHOLE TEAM OF TAAL THANK YOU ALL FOR PAYING RESPECT TO OUR WORK BY CELEBRATING 25 th ANNIVERSARY IN THEATRES FOR A WEEK. Well, good news to all the actress’ fans. The blue-eyed beauty has finally shared her reaction. Recently, Ash attended the IIFA 2024 with daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. While interacting with the media, the actress said, “It’s wonderful. Subhash ji just shared with me that Taal is re-releasing.” She also revealed why she couldn’t attend the special event as she was in Paris for the Paris Fashion Week 2024.
The Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actress added, “Here we go. Let’s enjoy it again in the theatres. So, thank you.”

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s last Hindi movie was Fanney Khan, which was released in 2018. The movie also starred Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles. The actress’ last theatrical release was Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan II (2023). Ash won a SIIMA and IIFA in the Best Actress category for her performance as Nandini in the film. She has not signed any new movie since then.
