In the latest episode of Celebrity MasterChef, contestants were given a challenge to create a dish inspired by an Indian festival. Among them, one celebrity contestant stole the spotlight with his passion for cooking and impressed judges with his plating. Can you guess which contestant are we talking about?
We are talking about Gaurav Khanna who won hearts and immense praise from judges Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna, and Farah Khan. The handsome actor who is best known for his role in Anupamaa showcased his love for Holi and also decorated his plate beautifully which reflected the festival’s vibrant spirit. Talking about his inspiration, Gaurav said, “Holi is my favorite festival, and I wanted to represent a lot of colors on the plate. I added a butterfly-shaped tuile, which reminded me of my school days when I would often see butterflies around this time of the year”.

The way Gaurav decorated his dish caught the judges’ attention. Ranveer got impressed with Gaurav and told him, “Jitna bolna hai bol le, your plate is speaking more than you today. This plate has everything Holi related. Iss dish se tyohar ka swad agaya”. He even performed his signature move and banged the spoon on the table.
Later, Farah Khan lauded Gaurav’s effort and called him as she gave him a kiss on his hands. She said that Gaurav’s dish is unbeatable. It was a heartwarming moment for Gaurav who was appreciated for his cooking.
Later, veteran actress Usha Nadkarni was also lauded for her dish wherein her flavors and presentation showcased the celebrating of Ganpati. Usha Nadkarni secured a place in the top 2 along with Gaurav.

A few days ago, Gaurav revealed that he is color blind while preparing a dish given by the judges. He said that he could not tell if he was doing good as he was color-blind and not everyone knew about his problem. He took wild card entry Ayesha Jhulka’s suggestion while preparing food.
