Accused Shariful Islam’s fingerprints matches with samples collected from actor’s residence

On January 16, actor Saif Ali Khan became the victim of an attempted robbery at his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra. An intruder broke into Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Mumbai house between 12 and 1 am. However, Jeh’s nanny, Eliyama Philip, managed to apprehend him, who was later confronted by Saif. In a shocking turn of events, the intruder attacked Saif six times with the knife before he fled the spot. A few days later, the Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam, aka Vijoy Das, from Thane. Ever since Saif Ali Khan was attacked, there has been massive curiosity about the details of the incident and whether the person caught by the cops is indeed the true attacker. According to recent reports, nanny, Eliyama Philip, confirmed to the cops that Shariful Islam is the same man who entered Saif’s house on January 16. Eliyama and one more witness confirmed that the Bangladeshi national is indeed the person who attacked Saif. In one of the significant developments in the case, the Mumbai Police confirmed on February 6, that Shariful’s fingerprints have matched the samples collected from the Omkara actor’s house. However, the final report is still awaited. As reported by News18, it is confirmed that Shariful is the same man who entered the actor’s house and stabbed him. Meanwhile, after attacking Saif, Shariful changed his identity to Bijoy Das and was working in Thane at a bar in the housekeeping department. The CCTV footage of him escaping from Saif’s building helped the cops get hold of Shariful, who also confirmed committing the crime.

On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan is back to work from this week. On February 3, the actor attended the star-studded Netflix India slate event in Mumbai. The actor, along with Jaideep Ahlawat and Siddharth Anand, announced their new movie titled Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins.
