The All India Cine Workers Association have taken up actions to boycott Pakistani actors and request the filmmakers of India not to work with Pakistani actors or support them in any way possible.

The action comes as India’s response through Operation Sindoor. Pakistani actors such as Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan, who acted in Bollywood movies, made critical comments about India regarding the retaliation

Fawad’s comment

The Indian people took offence at Fawad’s comment and Mahira’s remarks, branding the act as shameful and cowardly. However, these actors are loved in India, but their backlash has destroyed their image.

The All India Cine Workers Association called for a boycott of Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan. AICWA posted a long Tweet regarding the criticism made by the Pakistani actors and thereby stated not to collaborate with Pakistani actors.

In the tweet released by AICWA, Mahira and Fawad’s statements on Operation Sindoor were tagged as ‘Anti-Indian’, and the actor’s thoughts on India’s action had been highly condemned.

The post read as, The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) strongly condemns the anti-India statements made by Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and actor Fawad Khan, who have openly criticised India and questioned the nation’s actions in defense of its sovereignty.”

They further stated, “Mahira Khan labeled India’s military response as a “Seriously Cowardly” act, while Fawad Khan, instead of condemning terrorism, focused on criticising India’s stance and supporting divisive narratives.

AICWA request the actors and filmmakers of India not to work with Pakistani actors or support them in any way possible. AICWA also slammed the film, Abir Gulaal, which featured Fawad Khan. For the unversed, the movie’s release was cancelled in India after the Pahalgam attack.
