The episode begins with Sanjay revealing to the family that Abhira and Armaan’s marriage is a contract marriage. Initially, no one believes him. However, when Armaan admits that what Sanjay is saying is true, the family is left in shock. Dadisa scolds the couple for making a mockery of marriage. Vidya, angry with Armaan, hits him and asks him how he could stoop so low and make fun of marriage. Abhira tries to explain to Vidya that Armaan is not at fault, but Vidya doesn’t listen. Vidya tells Armaan that he is following in his father’s footsteps and making fun of marriage. Sanjay states that history is repeating itself, as in the past, Armaan’s biological mother used Madhav for money, just as Abhira is now using her marriage to extract money from Armaan. Abhira overhears the conversation and decides that there is no reason for Armaan to continue the burden of their marriage, and tells him that she is leaving him forever.
