Here’s how Shivangi Joshi, Mohsin Khan’s magic saved YRKKH from shutting down

Hina Khan, who portrayed the character of Akshara, was the first leading lady of the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai . Rajan Shahi explained that the channel’s decision to end the show came when he removed Hina from the cast. Problems arose when the characters played by Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi were introduced, and an incident occurred where Hina refused to deliver a line involving Shivangi’s character, Naira. Following this, Shahi asked Hina to leave the show immediately, leading to the channel’s inclination to shut it down. Despite Hina eventually being willing to return the next day, Shahi decided against her continuation in the show. He informed the channel of his decision, even though Hina was still serving her notice period and was due to leave in a month. A senior member from the channel questioned Shahi’s decision, suggesting that since Hina was leaving in a month anyway, there was no need to remove her, and it would be better to shut down the show within that time frame.

However, Shahi remained optimistic and determined to make the most of the situation. He decided to focus on creating magic with Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s characters, Kartik and Naira. Fortunately, the love story between Kartik and Naira resonated with the audience, resulting in a significant increase in TRP within a month. The senior team member eventually acknowledged the success of the show without Hina and praised Shivangi and Mohsin’s on-screen chemistry.
