Aayush Sharma is promoting his upcoming new Bollywood movie, Ruslaan, across the country. For the first time since he debuted, Aayush has stepped out of Salman Khan’s shadow. The Ruslaan trailer is packed with amazing action sequences and boasts of a good story. Talking about promotions, in one of the recent interviews, Aayush spoke about the colourism remarks that Arpita faces online.

Aayush Sharma talks about people calling Arpita Khan kaali

While talking to Siddharth Kannan, Aayush Sharma revealed Arpita Khan‘s reaction to people commenting on her dark skin colour. She tells Aayush that people have been calling her ‘kaali’ since she was a child. She doesn’t care about what people say and that they can keep talking whatever they want. Furthermore, Aayush says that he finds the whole discussion on her skin colour very funny topic. Aayush questions the colour of the majority of the Indians. He asks if everyone is fair. He says since he belongs to Himachal, he is fair. But even if someone has dark skin tone, what is so bad or wrong about it? “Kis baat ke liye ek skin ke colour ke peeche log haath dho ke pad jaate hain? Kyu? Sochne ki baat hai, hum log yahan bolte hain ‘Black Lives Matter’ America main. Aur yahan pe khud ke logo ka hi rang ka mazaak uda rahe hain batao,” Aayush is heard saying. Aayush Sharma on people accusing him of marrying Arpita for money

In the same interview, Aayush also talked about how people made him into a businessman. He revealed that he hails from a political family. His father is a politician and has provided for him throughout his life. He needs no money. Aayush also talked about people saying that he received a diamond-studded sherwani and a Bentley in a dowry from Salman Khan‘s family. Aayush took a jibe at these rumours saying that he was still waiting for these gifts. As far as people commenting that he married Arpita to get a break in Bollywood or for money, Aayush asks do people really think Arpita is that naive.
