Radhika Apte pumps breastmilk in bathroom at BAFTA Awards 2025, gets schooled for drinking ‘alcohol’

Radhika Apte embraced motherhood a few months ago. The Parched actress shared the news with her fans via social media. Now, she has made her first public appearance post the delivery of her child. Radhika Apte was among the top stars present at BAFTA Awards 2025. Her film Sister Midnight had received a nomination at the prestigious award ceremony. The actress did attend BAFTA just two months after giving birth and has shared her experience. In a recent post on social media, Radhika Apte shared a picture that shows her pumping breastmilk. She is in the washroom and carrying out her motherly duties. In another hand though, she is holding a glass of Champagne. In the caption, she wrote “It’s hard as is to be a new mum and work, this level of care and sensitivity is rare in our film industry and much appreciated.” She also thanked her team for making it possible for her to attend BAFTA Awards 2025. As the picture went viral, netizens have given out a mixed response to Radhika Apte drinking alcohol while breastfeeding. One of the comments on her post read, “I am sorry to say Radhika but you are giving a wrong message through this pic. If you are expressing milk while drinking ,there is a very high chance that teh alcohol will be expressed in the milk and will be transferred to your baby . It is very unhealthy for the baby.” However, there are many who jumped into her defence. A comment read, “It’s perfectly fine to drink a glass of wine every now and then while breastfeeding. My gynaecologist who is a specialist said there are no issues what so ever.” Some of them also expressed disappointment that even in 2025, there are no proper facilities for young mothers to pump breastmilk.
