They managed to instantly win audiences over and created a special place in their hearts. One such actor starred alongside Divya Bharti and became a household name. He achieved stardom like Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan. But, his popularity vanished as he stayed away from the limelight for years. Can you guess who we are talking about?
We are talking about actor Prithvi Vazir, who, in the early 90s, got the opportunity to star alongside Divya Bharti in his debut film, Dil Ka Kya Kasoor. The film became a massive success, and he became an overnight star. He was born in Delho and had no interest in films earlier. But, his life changed when producer Mukesh Duggal discovered him and gave him a lead role in a romantic drama.
Following his successful debut, Prithvi started receiving several film offers. His on-screen chemistry with Divya was widely appreciated. But, one mistake ruined his entire successful career. A contractual agreement prevented him from signing more films at the time. This caused harm to his career before it could take off. In an interview with Jhakkas Bollywood, he spoke about the contract that restricted him from signing more offers. He said, “I was trapped in a contract from which it was very difficult to get out. And they tied up my peak time. I didn’t disappear. I was always alive in the hearts of my fans. I could not do films as I was stuck in the contract.”
He was seen in films like Daraar (1996), Ghulam (1998), Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet (1999), Humraaz (2002), Maa Tujhe Salaam (2002), and Khajar (2003), Jimmy (2008).
Due to this, the actor missed out on several major film projects that could have made him successful in the industry. He has been away from acting for years and is happily living a private life with his family.
