Well, some might have got the hint that we are talking about Gaurav Khanna. Yes, the actor came to Mumbai but not to be an actor. He came to do MBA and also worked as a marketing manager in an IT firm. He did the job for a year and was quite successful in that field.
However, once, he met a person in his gym who offered him work in an advertisement. Gaurav agreed to do it as he wanted to earn money. Later, he did more than a dozen TV advertisements. In 2006, he entered the TV industry and did his first show titled Bhabhi.
Soon, he did many TV shows like Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Meri Doli Tere Angna Mein, Ardhangni, Santaan, Shhh… Phir Koi Hai, Jeevan Saathi and more. He also worked with Yami Gautam in Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam. His performance was loved by all.
However, it was his performance in Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa that made him the biggest TV star. He entered the show midway as Anuj Kapadia opposite Rupali Ganguly. The character got all the love and he won many awards for it as well. Anupamaa‘s TRPs sky rocketed after the story of Anuj and Anu began.
Gaurav is also reportedly one of the richest TV stars. His net worth is Rs 8 crores. The actor is married to Akanksha Chamola. Currently, Gaurav is impressing everyone with his cooking skills in Celebrity MasterChef.
