She even participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss. She became a household name but then she chose to distance herself from acting and try her hands at entrepreneurship. All about Aashka Goradia’s journey to being a successful entrepreneur
The actress we are talking about Aashka Goradia. Known for her striking looks, Aashka made her debut with Achanak 37 Saal Baad in 2002. In 2003, she was roped in for Kkusum that made her a household name. She then appeared in shows like Kahiin toh Hoga, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and many more. She was also a participant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 4. In 2012, she appeared in Bigg Boss 6 and was among the top eight contestants. She was among the highest-paid TV stars. However, post 2019’s show Daayan, Aashka announced her retirement from acting.
She then began her entrepreneurial journey as she launched her cosmetic brand called Renee Cosmetics. Today, it is among the most popular brands. In a few years, the brand managed to become a successful venture. In 2024, it was reported that her brand is worth around $155 million ( Rs 1300 crore).
As she climbed the ladder of success, Aashka Goradia mentioned that business was always in her blood. To Times of India, she said, “Entrepreneurship was a path I wanted to pursue. The business was always in my blood, and this dream has been with me for quite some time now. Acting happened by chance. I was only 16 when I moved to Mumbai, but while pursuing my acting career, I had this business virus in me, to do something in the world out there and that has finally happened. So, I felt it’s time I tell everyone that acting, for now, is going on a break as I pursue my other dream.”
