We are talking about Tilottama Shome who is quite active on social media and has impressed all with her charming aura. She has appeared in films like Mentalhood, Delhi Crime, Kota Factory, The Night Manager, and more. The actress was last seen in Paatal Lok season 2 and she played the role of Nagaland Police Officer Meghana Barua.
Did you know, that Tilottama Shome has spent 2 years in jail and the reason will surprise you. Well, the actress did not commit any crime, but she was studying the psychology of people imprisoned in New York. She had to spend days in New York’s Rikers Island Jail and while being behind the prison she met prisoners who were accused of murder.
Tilottama believes that she also learned acting by staying in the jail and did not take up any course from any acting institute. She also said that during her stay in the jail, she got a chance to meet criminals and watch them closely. During an interview, she also said that she understood human behavior.
Tilottama is the wife of Kunal, son of Jaya Bachchan’s sister Rita Bhaduri. Through this relationship, Amitabh Bachchan is Tilottama’s father-in-law, while Jaya Bachchan is her mother-in-law. The actress keeps sharing her pictures and videos on social media.
She began acting with a supporting role in Mira Nair’s film Monsoon Wedding and also won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her role in Sir. She starred in A Death in the Gunj, Lust stories 2 and more, Shome was born in Kolkata to Anupam and Baisakhi Shome.
