Arjun Kapoor gets injured as ceiling falls on Mere Husband Ki Biwi set

Arjun Kapoor has been in the news in the last few months. A lot has been said about his personal and professional life. There have been stories around his breakup with Malaika Arora and then him confirming that he is single. On the professional front, he impressed everyone with his performance in Singham Again. The actor played the main antagonist and everyone has appreciated him for his work. In fact, many said that he is one of the reasons why Singham Again did well. Arjun has been getting good work and now he shooting for his next movie, Mere Husband Ki Biwi. The movie also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Jackky Bhagnani. The film is all set to release on February 21. The cast and crew of the film was shooting for a song at Imperial Palace, Royal Palms in Mumbai. Arjun Kapoor gets injured

However, an accident happened on the sets. The ceiling collapsed, leaving Arjun, producer Jackky Bhagnani, and director Mudassir Aziz injured. However, none of them suffered serious injures. As per reports in News 18, the sources on the sets said that the vibrations from the sound in the old hall caused the set to tremble due to which the ceiling fell. Ashok Dubey from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) spoke to Etimes and revealed that Arjun Kapoor injured his elbow and head. Manu Anand who is the DOP fractured his thumb and the camera attendant suffered a spinal injury.

Ace choreographer Vijay Ganguly was on the sets and he told ETimes that they were watching the shoot on the monitor when suddenly the ceiling collapsed. The ceiling fell in parts luckily. He added, “Had the entire ceiling fallen on us, it could have been disastrous, but many people still got hurt. These old locations are often used for shoots, and as production companies, we are sure that the safety measures are checked. However, many times, the safety of the location isn’t properly verified before it’s offered for shooting.”
