Anupamaa’s Rupali Ganguly gets interim relief against stepdaughter Esha Verma in defamation case

Rupali Ganguly has won hearts with her performance in Anupamaa. She is one of the top TV stars right now. However, there have been many negative stories coming out about her. A few months ago, we saw how her stepdaughter, Esha Verma made serious allegations against her. For the unversed, Rupali Ganguly’s husband, Ashwin Verma has been married twice before her. Esha is his daughter and said that Rupali broke their family. She said that Rupali used to come to their house and steal her mother’s jewellery. Rupali Vs Esha case

Esha also shared that Rupali Ganguly and Ashwin bullied her and that the Anupamaa actress made her life hell. She further said that Rudransh Verma is Rupali and Ashwin’s illegitimate child. This statement made Rupali take up a big decision. She decided to file a defamation case against Esha. Sana Raees Khan is Rupali’s lawyer who revealed that the actress has filed a Rs 50 crore defamation case. Now, there is a development in this case. The Bombay High Court has granted ad interim relief to actress Rupali Ganguly in a defamation suit filed against Esha Verma. The case resulted in an order restraining the defendants and various platforms from publishing, hosting, or sharing defamatory content about the plaintiff. The court said that the content was prima facie defamatory and malicious. Esha was also absent from court despite being served notices. The allegations made by Esha were deemed baseless and harmful to Rupali Ganguly’s reputation.

According to the relief, Esha cannot post anything against Rupali on any platform. Any third-party platforms, including social media intermediaries, are prohibited from hosting, sharing, or promoting defamatory content related to the Anupamaa actress.

People and platforms engaging in perpetuating a defamatory campaign against Rupali directly or indirectly, are restrained.
