Their son and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has revealed in his biography, Khullam Khulla about a shocking incident that happened. Krishna Raj Kapoor decided to leave the house in anger after stories about Raj Kapoor’s affair with veteran actress Vyjayanthimala came out.
Krishna Kapoor left the house with her kids and stayed in a hotel for some time and later, they shifted to Chitrakoot. However, things got sorted when Raj Kapoor realised his mistake. They came back together again like a happy family.
Rishi Kapoor wrote in his book, “When I was young, my father’s name was in the news for his affairs with many actresses. But the memories of the disputes in the house faded with time. When my mother came to know about his extra marital affair with Sangam co-star Vyjayanthimala, the matter got worse. There was a lot of fight between mummy and papa. This time Mother was not ready to step back and she left the house with me. For some time we stayed in a hotel and later we had a flat in Chitrakoot and then started living there. When papa realized his mistake, then things got sorted out.”
Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor had 5 children, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor Ritu Nanda, and Rima Kapoor. Recently, the entire Kapoor family celebrated Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary in a grand way.
