Thalapathy Vijay‘s GOAT casting coupe: The latest Tamil new movie release, GOAT or Greatest of All Time has been the talk o the town with its box office collections. The film started in India with Rs 44 crore on Day 1 but by Day 8, it has come down to Rs 6 crore (approximately). Despite an amazing response from the netizens, the film hasn’t been able to rock at the box office. However, there is something other than the collections that has left fans surprised. This is about the leading lady of the film. It is revealed that Sneha, who plays Vijay’s wife in the film, was not the original choice for director Venkat Prabhu. He actually had THIS South superstar actress, last seen with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, as the leading lady. Yes. Any guesses?
According to 123 Telugu, Venkat Prabhu disclosed in an interview that he approached Nayanthara for Vijay’s wife’s role. But he finally went on with Sneha. He didn’t speak much about the reason for the Lady Superstar not coming on board. But he did reveal that Nayanthara called him right after watching the movie. He said that the actress loved the film and was also praising Sneha’s work. Prabhu said that Nayanthara was of the opinion that no one could have done the role better than Sneha.

As per Sacnilk, GOAT has collected Rs 170.75 crore at the box office in India in total in its first week. While the film is doing well in Tamil centres, the Hindi and Telugu collections are dismal. Now, all eyes are on GOAT beating Vijay’s earlier release Varisu and also inching closer to Rajinikanth’s Jailer at the overseas box office.
