Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao movie surpasses Fighter, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan numbers with pre-sales

Mr & Mrs Mahi starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor has made its ways to the theatres. It is directed by Sharan Sharma. The movie is about a couple who loves cricket. Much to their delight, their nickname is also Mahi going in-sync with that of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film is about how a failed cricketer helps his wife to achieve her dreams. But it is not as easy as it sounds! The movie also stars Kumud Mishra and others. The makers and the stars have conducted extensive promotions for Mr & Mrs Mahi. Going by a report in Pinkvilla, Mr & Mrs Mahi is expected to hit a sixer on the opening day. As per the pre-sales done in advance booking of ticket, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s movie has managed to beat the biggies of 2024 like Fighter, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and others. Reportedly, it has done a business of Rs 2.15 lakh in advance bookings. Fighter had done around Rs 1.45 lakh while Bade Miyan Chote Miyan had done a business of 1.03 lakh in advance bookings. Mr & Mrs Mahi has an advantage as the tickets are available at Rs 99 for May 31 given that the multiplexes are celebrating Cinema Lover’s Day. Last it was Article 370 that released with tickets priced at Rs 99. Yami Gautam’s movie is third on the list as it registered around Rs 1.25 lakh in pre-sales. It is being predicted that Mr & Mrs Mahi will do a business of around Rs 7 to 8 crore on its first day. Some reports also suggest that the film will hit a double digit number. The first weekend collection of the film is anticipated to touch Rs 20 crore mark.
